Within the framework of ACC, identifies major policy issues related to UNCED follow-up and advises ACC on means of addressing them so as to ensure effective cooperation and coordination in the UN system in implementing Global Action Plan for Environment and Development in the 21st Century (Agenda 21). Reporting through IACSD: ACC Sub-committee on Water Resources; ACC Sub-committee on Oceans and Coastal Areas (SCOCA).
