Founded 4 May 1962, Brussels (Belgium), as Association of National Organizations of Fishing Enterprises of the EEC -- Association des organisations nationales d'entreprises de pêche de la CEE Asociación de las Organizaciones Nacionales de Empresas de Pesca en la CEE -- Vereinigung der Nationalen Verbände von Fischereiunternehmen in der EWG -- Associazione delle Organizzazioni Nazionali delle Imprese di Pesca della CEE -- Vereniging der Nationale Organisaties van Visserijondernemingen in de EEG. Current Statutes adopted by General Assembly, 14 Dec 1987.
Aims
Represent the common interests of member organizations in dealings with various European Union authorities and with other groups and organizations; promote relations between all the national organizations of fishing enterprises in EU and defend their general and specific interests; look for the points of agreement on all fishery-related questions which are of interest at EU level.
