Now regulated by Council Decision 2014/75/CFSP. Now an integral part of the new structures that underpin further development of the CFSP/CSDP. Transformed from H-XD3431 - Western European Union (WEU) project with title WEU Institute for Security Studies -- Institut d'études de sécurité de l'UEO, set up 13 Nov 1989, Paris (France) and commenced operations 1 Jul 1990.
Provide analyses and fora for discussion that can be of use and relevance to the formulation of EU policy; act as an interface between European experts and decision-makers at all levels.
