as Ombudsman Project - Projet de médiateur - Proyecto de Ombudsman, following study launched by UK NGOs, Jun 1997, London (UK), at World Disasters Forum and coordinated by the British Red Cross Society (BRCS), the UK branch of B-XB2907 - International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. Study presented at World Disasters Forum 1998. Was also referred to as Humanitarian Ombudsman Project. Existed as a pilot phase of H-XG9881 - Humanitarian Accountability Partnership International (HAP International), ending 2003.
Improve accountability in humanitarian assistance by encouraging humanitarian agencies to be accountable to their clients, the beneficiaries or claimants of such assistance.
