2001. The Anarchist Black Cross (ABC) originated in Russia, as Red Cross. Became Black Cross during the Russian Civil War and moved to Berlin (Germany) after the Civil War, where it continued to aid prisoners of the Bolshevik regime as well as victims of Italian fascism and others. Activities ceased circa 1940. Restarted circa 1967, UK, to aid prisoners of the Spanish fascist regime.
Recognize, expose and support the struggles of prisoners in general and political prisoners and prisoners of war in particular.
