14 Jun 1947, Geneva (Switzerland), replacing the first international organization of commercial travellers and representatives, set up 1890, Vienna (Austria), as World Federation of Commercial Travellers -- Confédération mondiale de la représentation commerciale, title having been changed in 1920, Lausanne (Switzerland), to International League of Associations of Commercial and Industrial Travellers and Agents -- Ligue internationale des associations de voyageurs et représentants du commerce et de l'industrie -- Internationale Liga der Verbände von Geschäfts-Reisenden und Vertretern -- Lega Internazionale delle Associazioni di Viaggiatori e Rappresentanti del Commercio e dell' Industria. Listed title adopted 1952, Amsterdam (Netherlands). In English previously referred to as International League of Commercial Travellers and Agents (ILCTA). No news reported for several years since 2014.

Aims

Uphold freedom and sound development of international trade; protect and promote the common interests of the commercial agents worldwide; strengthen the position of commercial agents as independent businessmen.
