Established 1 Jul 1980, Washington DC (USA). Full title: Administrative Tribunal of the International Bank of Reconstruction and Development, International Development Association and International Finance Corporation -- Tribunal de la Banque internationale pour la reconstruction et le développement, de l'Association internationale de développement et de la Société financière internationale. It thus covers F-XF1393 - International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), B-XB1791 - International Development Association (IDA) and F-XF2057 - International Finance Corporation (IFC) within the F-XF6841 - The World Bank Group. Statutes adopted 30 Apr 1980; amended 31 Jul 2001. Rules adopted 26 Sep 1980; amended 8 Oct 1982, 15 Oct 1995, 1 Jun 1998 and 1 Jan 2002.

Aims

Decide on applications submitted by staff members of the World Bank Group alleging non-observance of their contracts or terms of appointment.

Tribunal comprises 7 judges, nationals of different member States of the World Bank, appointed by Executive Directors of the Bank from candidates drawn up by the Bank's President. President and 2 Vice-Presidents are elected from among Tribunal members. Administered by Secretariat.
