Each chapter and institute hold frequent meetings throughout the year. Chapter and membership services include: 'Certification' - twice yearly written examinations; 'Professional Development' - including conferences, seminars, in-house training, chapter education programmes and media-assisted training courses; 'Professional Issues' - reports to members on major trends, issues, technological innovations and opportunities and identification of projects to be funded by Institute of Internal Auditors Research Foundation, set up in 1976; 'Quality Auditing Services' - including quality assurance review service and GAIN, a bench-marking service for internal auditing departments; educational products; standards and ethics, including assistance to members, governments and other organizations in developing, approving and adopting code of ethics and standards; endorses universities; technology practices; customer service centre; finance and administration; marketing/public relations; information services.
