Founded by merger of U-XU4983 - Union of Paper and Carton Distributors in the European Economic Community, set up 31 May 1957, with U-XH0799 - European Liaison Committee for the Paper and Board Wholesale Trade, formed 19 Oct 1967. A Participating Industry Sector of D-XD2872 - Confederation of European Paper Industries (CEPI).
Develop and promote merchant distribution as the channel of choice of customers and suppliers; provide a necessary forum for national merchants associations to work together to decide a common position; foster and enhance communication among all members of the paper chain; promote interests of merchant distribution through lobbying and consultation.
