The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

1989-11-11 Florence Italy

History

11 Nov 1989, Florence (Italy), on the initiative of the French national association. Became, 5 Jul 1991, Hamburg (Germany), a constituent body of D-XD2937 - European Association of Real Estate Professions (CEPI), together with U-XF2647 - European Property Agents Group (EPAG) and U-XE2176 - European Property Valuers (EUROVAL) (the latter having ceased to exist). Originally referred to in English as European Confederation of Real Estate Professions (ECOREP). Official title is French. Most recent Statutes adopted 26 Mar 2004, Brussels (Belgium) and approved by Royal Decree, 31 Jul 2004. Registered in accordance with Belgian law. Ceased to exist, when merged completely into CEPI, 8 Feb 2011.

Aims

Study legislation and regulations in force in the countries of the European Union and of the EU itself, particularly regulations, directives, decisions, recommendations and opinions laid down by Community institutions, and projects or proposals under consideration for such legislation or regulation which directly or indirectly affect the real estate sector; provide information and training for member associations and groups, leading to an improved professional level among their members and development of professional standards, especially in regard to admission to and exercise of the profession of property manager; act as an intermediary between members and Community institutions.
