Promote communication between basic and clinical scientists in Europe interested in the pancreas and its disorders; promote scientific, epidemiological and clinical research into pancreatic function and into the prevention, diagnosis and therapy of pancreatic diseases; establish scholarships and promote postgraduate education and training.
