Eliminate triatoma infestans from households and their periphery in endemic areas; reduce and eliminate household infestations of other species of triatoma that live in the same area as triatoma infestans; reduce and eliminate transmission by transfusion through the strengthening of the network of blood banks and effective selection of blood donors.
