The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

Carry out iconographic documentation on Greek, Etruscan and Roman mythology in museums and sites worldwide, as well as on cults and rites in Greek, Etruscan and Roman world; produce a universal file classifying all documents, as well as a photothèque following the same classification; ensure rapid diffusion of information and documents to participating countries.

Assembles and studies documents and produces lexica to cover knowledge from the Mycenaean world to the palaeo-Christian. Organizes national, regional and interregional seminars to train researchers in inventory techniques. International colloquia. Seminars with Division of Cultural Studies of UNESCO.
