1923
History
1923, as a foundation, by Danish Royal Charter. Ceased to exist 1 Jan 1989, when merged with U-XF2189 - Nordisk Insulin Foundation, which it had created in 1926, and with Novo Foundation, to form the commercial organization Novo Nordisk Foundation.
Aims
Carry out research and grant assistance to research in the field of insulin; develop, manufacture and market insulin and other preparations for use in recognizing and treating diseases, predominantly in the field of endocrinology.

Includes: Nordisk Gentofte - manufacturing division; Hagedoorn Research Laboratory; Steno Memorial Hospital.
