Established Oct 1966, by Nordic Council (NC), following agreement between Nordic Ministers for Culture and Education. New agreement came into force 1 Dec 1976. Comes under the secretariat of Nordic Council of Ministers (NCM), within the framework of Nordic Cultural Cooperation. Also referred to as Nordiska Kulturfonden. Previously also referred to in English as Nordic Cultural Fund.
