Protect and expand the current approvals for color additives, both certified and exempt, in the US, Europe, Asia and elsewhere; create and maintain public information and awareness of the safety and use of color additives; serve as a central organization to participate in the development of official and unofficial analytical methods for color additives; serve as a central organization to interact with US and international regulatory bodies as well as with other international organizations on color additive matters; encourage interaction on an international level in the Association.
