Statutes: adopted by the Governments of Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden; revised 1978, when Iceland became a member; revised again in 1987 and in 2000. NordVal merged into NMKL, 2007.
Select methods of analysis for food testing and, provided the testing is successful, release official methods in Scandinavian languages, in Finnish and in English; elaborate guidelines and procedures to support quality assurance work in analytical food laboratories; serve as a forum for Nordic and international exchange of information in the field of analysis of food, feed and environmental samples.
