History
Established as a charitable trust by the countries of the Commonwealth, and as successor to the Commonwealth Institute. The Institute was itself the successor trust to the Imperial Institute which had its origins in a fund raised in 1886 to celebrate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee.
Aims
Advance education in the Commonwealth with a focus on supporting teacher professional development.
