Founded 27 May 1976, Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). Sometimes referred to as Arab Sport Union (ASU) -- Union arabe des sports and Union of Arab National Olympic Committees (UANOC). As of 2016, assumed ceased to exist.
Promote closer links between the regional Arab Olympic Committees; consolidate views expressed at Arab, regional and international conferences; encourage amateur sports and exert efforts to help elevate Olympic and sports movements; adhere to the Olympic principles and spirit.
