1971, by telecommunications authorities of the 5 Nordic countries. Reorganized, Feb 1993, by Managing Directors of the main operators of public telecom networks under a new agreement, signed 8 Jun 1993. Memorandum of Understanding on continuing cooperation signed Nov 2000. Originally referred to as NTOB; sometimes referred to in English as Nordic Cooperation on Telecommunications.
Secure and further develop appropriate Nordic coordination among operators in developing basic telecom networks and services, for the benefit of users; gather, analyse and disseminate information; coordinate and support members' common interests in international organizations and fora.
