1973, New York NY (USA), as Society of Incentive and Travel Executives (SITE). Previously also referred to as Society of International Travel Executives. Later known only by acronym SITE. Present name adopted, 2014.
As an association devoted exclusively to the pursuit of excellence in incentive travel: link professional incentive travel executives dedicated to recognition and development of travel as the key to motivational and performance improvement strategies; recognize the global cultural differences and practices in developing these strategies; serve as a networking and educational opportunity for members.
