Oct 2005, by E-XM7124 - African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS), following adoption of proposal, Sep 2005, at meeting of African Ministers of Science and Technology within the framework of E-XK2193 - New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD). Inactive for several years since 2014 with activities mainly taken over my another AIMS initiative.
Enable African academics with postgraduate qualifications in mathematics to share their expertise with the next generation of students.
Intended to comprise 15 institutes similar to and including AIMS, spanning the African continent, with Head Office located near AIMS.
