The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History

within the framework of D-XD0435 - Council of Europe (CE). Took over some of the activities of U-XE0737 - Steering Committee for Social Affairs, which ceased to exist. Itself replaced, together with U-XE0909 - Comité directeur pour l'emploi et le travail (CDEM) and U-XE0735 - Comité européen de sécurité sociale (CDSS), by H-XK1855 - European Committee on Social Cohesion, Human Dignity and Equality (CDDECS).

Aims

Examine current social issues in Europe, including family policies, child welfare and the situation of the elderly, with a view to identifying common trends and promoting effective practices; address social problems in Europe, particularly as they affect families, children, the elderly, the marginalized, and specifically problems arising from poverty and social exclusion, with a view to making proposals on meeting these challenges at European level.
