The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

1913 Zurich Switzerland
History
1913, Zurich (Switzerland), having functioned from 1903 as International Secretariat of Trade Unions. After Amsterdam (Netherlands) Conference of 1919, known also as Amsterdam International -- Internationale syndicale d'Amsterdam. Merged, 1925, with H-XH3744 - International Federation of Working Women, set up Oct 1921. H-XH0142 - International Council of Trade and Industrial Unions (Mezsovprof), set up 15 Jul 1920, Moscow (Russia), grouped those bodies prevented from joining FSI. Instrumental in setting up, 1924, H-XH0311 - International Committee of Women Trade Unionists. Ceased activities 1945.
