Formal body founded, 1971, Milan (Italy), with the title Confederation of International Trading Houses Associations (CITHA) – Confederación de Asociaciones de Empresas de Comercio Internacional. Formally constituted 1973, London (UK). Previously also referred to as Coordinating Committee of International Trading Houses Associations.
Represent international trading houses' associations and their members; promote and justify liberalization of trade; act as coordinating body for national associations; support studies and information exchange on technical problems.
