History
Founded as an autonomous international multilateral export credit insurance agency affiliated to F-XF4542 - Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group. Commenced operations in 1995.
Aims
Encourage exports from member countries and facilitate the flow of foreign direct investments to member countries by providing and encouraging the use of Sharia compatible export credit and investment insurance as credit and political risk mitigation instruments.
