History
10 Jun 1974, by Resolution No 661 of D-XD0433 - Council of Arab Economic Unity (CAEU), adopted at its 23rd ordinary session. Memorandum and Articles of the Association signed, 4 Apr 1975, by the member countries. Constituent general meeting: 5 Aug 1975. Operations began in 1977. Also known as: Arab Company for the Development of Livestock; Arab Livestock Development Corporation; Arab Company for Development of Animal Resources (ACDAR); Arab Company for the Development of Animal Wealth -- Société arabe de développement des richesses animales.
Aims
In agreement with the Governments and other institutions concerned: undertake all agricultural, industrial, commercial and technical operations connected with the production, processing, transport and marketing of animal products and fodder, as well as materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary for its activities.
