3 Dec 1970, Bamako (Mali), following recommendations of an inter-disciplinary mission of E-XE3382 - UNDP, organized at the request of the then 'River Niger Commission', currently, since 21 Nov 1980, D-XD4526 - Niger Basin Authority (NBA). Also referred to in English as Authority for the Integrated Development of the Liptako-Gourma Region (ALGR). Statutes registered in 'UNTS 1/20352'.
Promote regional development and use of mineral, energy, water, agricultural, grazing and fishery resources within the Liptako-Gourma area.
