28 May 1986, Brussels (Belgium), following decision, 1985, Chantilly (France), at conference of U-XE6438 - European Ecumenical Organization for Development (EECOD). Registered in accordance with Belgian law. Ceased to exist 2004.
Aims
Pay more attention to local cultures, leading to modification of the development paradigm currently based too exclusively on Western notions of progress, economics and technology; establish links between groups and persons in different continents, offering mutual support in the framework of intercultural dialogue and international cooperation (research, training, lobbying, advocacy, consultancy).
