German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF)
1972. A US organization established by a gift from the Federal Republic of Germany as a memorial to the Marshall Plan. The gift was renewed in 1986.
Promote better understanding and cooperative action between partners on both sides of the Atlantic on pressing transatlantic issues; promote the study of international and domestic policies; support comparative research and debate on key issues; assist policy and opinion leaders' understanding of these issues.
