Unite national societies or groups in the field of nuclear medicine and biology throughout Asia and Oceania; promote the development of nuclear medicine and biology; organize committees, set up technical standards and aid in the diffusion of knowledge and exchange of scientific and technical information in the field; prepare and recommend the organization of a unified program of teaching and training in the field; facilitate the exchange of scientists between member societies.
