1994, under the Fourth Framework Programme of E-XE2442 - European Commission (EC), by Decision 94/917/EC of E-XE3068 - Council of the European Union, to implement a new domain or 'Third Activity', devoted to the dissemination and exploitation of European research results. Replaced U-XF0557 - Strategic Programme for Innovation and Technology Transfer (SPRINT) and U-XK0103 - Valorization and Utilization for Europe (VALUE). Programme ended, 1998.
Encourage: exchange of information on research, technology and successful commercial use of research results; absorption of new technology and innovation by companies in EU countries, in particular SMEs. Ensure a continued supply of new information in areas such as best practice, commercial innovation and partnerships between European companies.
