4 Jun 1973, Nairobi (Kenya), as African Association for Correspondence Education (AACE) -- Association des éducateurs par correspondance d'Afrique (ACEA). Registered in accordance with the law of Kenya, 6 Aug 1973, Nairobi.
Aims
Promote knowledge about correspondence education and its potential; encourage its use and the improvement in all forms of education throughout Africa; promote and encourage cooperation between non-profit correspondence institutions in Africa and elsewhere; promote the training of staff of correspondence institutions through regional training seminars and workshops; promote research into the use and effectiveness of correspondence education in Africa.
