Original title Inter-Parliamentary Forum of the Americas (FIPA) -- Forum interparlementaire des Amériques -- Foro Interparlamentario de las Américas -- Fórum Interparlamentar das Américas. Current title adopted Sep 2011.


Support members' commitment to promote parliamentary participation in the inter-American system; develop inter-parliamentary dialogue on issues of importance to the hemisphere by encouraging the sharing of experience and best practice amongst members and by working to strengthen the role of legislatures in democratic development; promote harmonization of legislation and hemispheric integration as instruments of sustainable and harmonious development in the region.
