Feb 1983, Paris (France). Known also as Kurdish Institute for the Defence of a Thousand Year Old Culture in Peril -- Institut kurde pour la défense d'une culture millénaire en péril. Registered in accordance with French law.
Aims
Study and encourage research and study of Kurdish language, art, literature, history and the Kurdish cultural heritage; help safeguard, renew interest in and diffuse the Kurdish culture and promote a dialogue between it and other cultures; keep the Kurdish language and culture alive among Kurdish immigrants and help them adapt to their new environment; inform the public of the historical, cultural, social and political dimensions of the Kurdish question.
