1650, Puy-en-Velay (France). Refounded in 1808, Lyon (France), after the French Revolution. Merged, 10 Aug 1996, with H-XR6936 - Soeurs de Saint Joseph de Bourg and Soeurs de Saint Joseph de Bordeaux.
Aims
Promote unity; respond to the needs of the time, especially where the poor are concerned, through all works of mercy, spiritual as well as corporal, such as pastoral care, education, health and human services.
