History

21 Jul 1977, London (UK), as an association intended for all United Nations civil servants, serving now or in the past, who reside in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, who intend to live there, or for other reasons wish to maintain their links with the UK. Present Constitution adopted at 10th General Assembly, 16 May 1987, Eastbourne (UK).

Aims

Encourage and help members to: keep in touch with former colleagues; be kept aware of changes in pensions and health insurance matters; help to move to the UK on retirement; receive welfare support and advice; represent members' interests in relations with the UN and its Organizations and Bodies and UK Government Authorities; support the Federation of Associations of Former International Civil Servants and maintain liaison with other bodies concerned in protecting and improving retirement conditions; cooperate with organizations engaged in mobilizing public support for the UN and national organizations concerned with support for the elderly.
