Bring together researchers, practitioners and students of urban and regional studies; encourage and assist regional studies and teaching on a European rather than a national basis; seek to ensure adequate research at a European Union level of the regional impact of EC/EU legislation; promote, develop and disseminate high quality theoretical and empirical research on regional problems.
