1255, as a Catholic lay order of men and women associated with the R-XR1681 - Order of the Servants of Mary (Servites). Approved, 15 Apr 1424, by Pope Martin V. Formerly referred to as Third Order Secular of Servants of Mary -- Tercera Orden de los Siervos de Maria (TOS) -- Terz'Ordine Servitano. Renewed Rule of Life adopted 17 Feb 1983; confirmed, 29 Apr 1995, by the Holy See.
Aims
Witness the gospel of Jesus Christ in fraternal communion and be at the service of God and all people, drawing abiding inspiration from Mary, Mother and Servant of the Lord; assist people in need by being present in schools and clinics.
