Aims
Bring together local authorities, mainly in towns, with associations whose members are related to the cinema, either professionals or active volunteers; cooperate with other networks grouping elected and professional individuals in different social, sporting and cultural sectors; strengthen the position of elected representatives in European towns who are aware of the importance of cinema in cultural and social life, who lobby for the continued functioning of cinemas and who support festivals; promote the circulation of quality films, especially from Europe, which place the cinema on the same cultural level as other artistic disciplines already recognized by local boroughs - libraries, art, music, theatre; assist in drawing up and coordinating a global policy of assistance at the different territorial levels in Europe.
