Founded 2 Jul 1993, Heathrow (UK). Amendments to Constitution adopted by Congress: 1994; 1996; 1998; 2000; 2004; 2006; 2008; 2010; 2012; 2014. United with B-XB2346 - International Modern Pentathlon Union as umbrella organization until 26 Sep 1998, when decision of 26 Jun 1998, to exist autonomously came into effect. The sport had been represented from 1960 by UIPM, which from 1960 to 1998 was referred to as 'International Modern Pentathlon and Biathlon Union – Union internationale de pentathlon moderne et biathlon (UIPMB)'. Registered in accordance with Austrian law, 26 Jan 2000.
Develop the sport of biathlon and promote it worldwide.
