Promote scientific research, exchange of scientific methods and their application in the European Union region; represent the wine distillery sector with European institutions and defend the common interests of manufacturers of spirits and 'eaux-de-vie' derived from grapes; analyse members' problems arising from the Treaty of Rome (Italy), the agricultural market and directives of the Council of the European Union; research and generate solutions, acting as a forum for discussion and research in the sector.
General Assembly (annual). Council, comprising up to 4 members per country and including President, 1st Vice-President, 2nd Vice-President (the Past-President) and Treasurer.
