Brethren Volunteer Service (BVS)
Founded 1948, following a proposal by younger members of the Church of the Brethren to found a volunteer service programme which was presented before gathered Brethren delegates, 1948, at Colorado Springs Annual Conference. Work formally began Sep 1948.
