Founded Jan 1992, Lausanne (Switzerland), at 1st official General Assembly, following recommendations of a meeting, 1990, Bristol (UK).
As umbrella organization for every kind of billiards, unite in one world confederation the different billiards organizations; adopt a sports policy in conformity with the IOC rules as defined in the Olympic Charter; promote billiards sports as based on human and social values and as developing human fraternity and solidarity through international competitions; introduce guidelines to standardize the worldwide sports calendar; develop contacts with public authorities and the media; achieve and maintain recognition and affiliation by and with the multiple sports federations; achieve and organize participation in multiple sports events.
