Founded by 14th Ordinary Meeting of: D-XD2874 - Consejo Episcopal Latinoamericano (CELAM), at which 4 Church training centres in Latin America were merged. Became functional, 4 Mar 1974, Medellin (Colombia), and was transferred, 1989, to Bogota (Colombia).
Act as a training center serving pastoral agents from Latin America, operated by Latin American Episcopal Conference - CELAM.
