Founded as International Association of Technological University Libraries (IATUL). Subsequently changed title to International Association of Scientific and Technological University Libraries (IATUL) -- Association internationale des bibliothèques d'universités polytechniques -- Asociación Internacional de Bibliotecas de las Universidades Tecnológicas -- Internationale Vereinigung der Bibliotheken Technischer Hochschulen -- Mezdunarodnoe Obedinenie Bibliotek Vyssih Tehniceskih Skol, 2009. Current title adopted 2014.

Aims

Act as organ for international cooperation among member libraries to stimulate and develop library projects which are of international and regional importance; provide a forum for library directors to exchange views and develop a collaborative approach to problems.
