Established to carry on the work of: Bicknell International Library and Museum, set up in 1888; Società Storica Archeologica Ingauna e Intemelia, created in 1932; Istituto di Studi Liguri, formed in 1941.
Aims
Promote research and appreciation of prehistoric, archaeological, linguistic, underwater archaeology and historical aspects of ancient monuments and regional traditions in the North-West arc of the Mediterranean (Northern Italy, Southern France, Spain).
