1963. Statutes revised 2000. Also referred to in English as Nordic Institute for Maritime Law. Comes within the framework of T-XT7163 - Nordic Cultural Cooperation, as a cooperation body of D-XD4238 - Nordic Council of Ministers (NCM).
Promote research and studies in the Nordic countries in maritime and petroleum law and other related fields; offer good working conditions to scholars and students who visit the Institute; offer scholarships to enable research fellows and students from the Nordic countries to study at the Institute; keep and develop a library of maritime and petroleum law of high standard.
