1845, Bytown (Canada), by Elisabeth Bruyère of R-XR2026 - Sisters of Charity of Montreal (Grey Nuns). Papal approval received 1889. A congregation of pontifical right. Also known as Grey Nuns of Ottawa or Grey Sisters of Ottawa. Previously known as Soeurs Grises de la Croix and Soeurs Grises d'Ottawa. Also known by initials SCO.

Make known the compassionate love of God through charity, care, service and education especially for the underprivileged.
