Later became International Association of Municipal, Sports and Multipurpose Centres – Union internationale des salles municipales, des halls de sport et des salles polyvalentes – Internationaler Verband der Stadt-, Sport- und Mehrzweckhallen (VDSM). Previously also known under the French title Association européenne des centres de manifestations. Statutes adopted 11 Jun 1956; modified: 1973, 1974, 1987, 1992, 2009, 2017. Present name adopted 1997. Present logo adopted 2008.
